The attention of the recipient is directed to the requirements of Section 6 of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the duties it imposes in relation to the Sale of Goods for use at work. Any recipient is accordingly required to sign the undertaking below, before the goods are removed from the University or used within a new setting at the University.
The recipient undertakes that where goods are donated and may be used again for their original purpose, appropriate steps have been taken with regard to safety, the recipient undertakes to have the goods properly checked before use, to have them regularly surveyed and maintained and to take such steps as are necessary to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the goods will be used in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
